Hospitality · Island resort
Becoming one with the island.

01 / The idea
OĀNĀ tells a poetic story of an island, a drifting coconut, sand and white coral. Its central intention—becoming one with the island—guides what guests might do and how the resort could unfold around them.
Participation and belonging. Arrival, shared tables, making, resting and time beside the water become ways to form a relationship with the island.
02 / The design decisions
An arrival pier leads to an open reception, refreshments, displays and a communal table. Welcome, discovery and gathering are brought into the same sequence.
Circular pavilions explore workshop spaces, swings and shaded relaxation. Painting and craft activities offer guests a way to take part in the island’s story.
Sea-view rooms and villa alternatives consider terraces, outdoor bathing and water access. Service and circulation support the movement between shared experiences and private retreat.

03 / The guest experience
The narrative becomes an invitation: gather at a table, make something, pause in the shade or return to a private terrace. These early plans explore how belonging can be supported by the things a guest can do.
Earlier planning options. All 3D views are for space allocation only and do not represent approved colours, materials or furniture selections. The island origin story is the concept’s authored narrative.
Every place begins with a story.
